After an extended holiday break courtesy of Mother Nature’s frigid bite, Cleveland’s public schools, among many other districts, are back in session Wednesday.

Just minutes before 5 a.m., Cleveland Schools CEO Eric Gordon tweeted the final decision.

Only ONE of Cleveland’s schools — Jane Addams Business Careers Center — remains closed Wednesday due to no heat.

Early Tuesday afternoon, Gordon predicted that schools would be open based on the forecast.

While Akron Public Schools posted social media messages on Tuesday stating they intended to be open as well, the schools ultimately closed again Wednesday due to “bus trouble.”

There were more than 900 local school closings Tuesday morning.
