Brian Banks has signed on to make his true life story into a movie.

His luck seems to be turning around, but this started long before he was signing movie deals.

This happened after promising high school football player Banks was accused of raping Wanetta Gibson in 2002. Banks was convicted and spent five years in prison.

Later, he was exonerated after he met with Gibson and he taped her admittedly lying to the judge about the accusations. The conviction was overturned in May 2012.

Since then, he’s conditioned himself and made his dream come true! Atlanta Falcons signed the still promising athlete. Although he was cut from the team in August 2013, he still got to live out a dream.

“Aside from getting my life back and my freedom back, this is the biggest accomplishment of my life,” he told reporters during a conference call.
