Well known West Virginia native, Bishop T.D. Jakes is expected to deliver two tractor trailers full of bottled water to Charleston on Tuesday evening.

This comes after parts of nine West Virginia counties have been under a “Do Not Use Water Ban” since last Thursday.

The water will be given to the fire stations in Charleston that have been serving as water distribution locations and from Abundant Life Church on Washington Street, East. The water bottles will be distributed to the public from there.

Bishop T.D. Jakes is the senior pastor of The Potter’s House in Dallas and a Charleston native.

Charleston city leaders say Bishop Jakes called on Sunday afternoon asking if he could help.
