City and school officials attended a ribbon cutting at the newly constructed Miles School Thursday morning. The school is located at 11918 Miles Avenue.

The 63,000 square foot Miles School will be a technologically innovative facility serving students in pre-kindergarten through grade 8.  This school is part of the Cleveland Metropolitan School District (CMSD).

Cleveland City Councilman Zack Reed is excited the school will also feature an enclosed playground, providing a safe and secure place for children to play year round.
“I am thrilled CMSD is opening a brand new school here in Ward 2,” said Councilman Reed. “This new facility will provide our children with a safe, modern and supportive environment in which to learn and grow. The opening of this school continues the revival of Miles Avenue.  Economic development is taking place in and around this school including the opening of the Miles Pointe Shopping Center, a community health center, CMHA intergenerational building and various street improvements and landscaping.”
