*Darlene Love took the Oscar audience to church for a few seconds on Sunday.
The artist was one of several backup singers featured on the Academy Award winning documentary feature “20 Feet From Stardom” and has supported such artists as Elvis Presley, Tom Jones, Frank Sinatra, Aretha Franklin and Bruce Springsteen throughout her career.
During the film’s acceptance speech, she literally broke into song – singing the chorus of gospel standared “Eye on the Sparrow.” The crowd ate it up, giving her a standing ovation.
