It’s been five months since the Indians last thrilled us at Progressive Field — with a wild card game and a shot at the playoffs.
Since then we’ve been dealt a near record-breaking winter — and near complete overhauls of management with the Cavs and Browns.
Those may be some of the reasons the Indians sold out their home opener against the Minnesota Twins in 15 minutes.
“That taste of the post-season last year and the anticipation of what we could possibly do this year — it excites fans,” says Indians spokesperson Anne Keegan. “Fifteen minutes is pretty quick. Last year we did it in six minutes; maybe people were quicker on their keyboards in 2013.”
Ending on that high note and faith in Terry Francona leaves many hopeful.
