cleveland winter 5

The City of Cleveland is preparing for the worst in the winter storm that is set to arrive late Tuesday into Wednesday morning.

The Division of Streets is reporting that their salt reserves are at 14,700 tons and they will being deploying 41 crews Wednesday morning to treat the streets.

The rain is set to arrive Tuesday night, and change to snow sometime during the morning commute on Wednesday.

More updates will come as the snow falls throughout the day on Wednesday.

The city is encouraging residents to above all, take it slow on ice and snow. Allow more time leaving for your commute. They also stressed drivers to not “block the box” at intersections.

If you see any downed power lines, do not go near them. Instead, call 911 or Cleveland Public Power at (216) 664-3156.
