It was an emotional moment Tuesday.

The shrinking staff of the Plain Dealer gathered outside its soon-to-be former headquarters building at 18th Street and Superior Avenue to take a group picture.

Reporters and photographers are moving Monday to a new location at Tower City.

Copy editors and other editing staff will remain in the building until May when they are relocate to the Plain Dealer Production Facility in Brooklyn.

The NorthEast Ohio Media Group will be moving the digital staff of cleveland. com into the Plain Dealer Building later this year.

The paper is part of a reorganized business plan that’s now seven months old. It has become a part of the group which is now more focused on the cleveland.com website.
