The courtroom of Judge Angela Stokes is dark Monday. She had no docket scheduled and won’t have any criminal cases for the foreseeable future after an unprecedented move by Presiding Judge Ronald Adrine.
Videos from Judge Angela Stokes’ courtroom repeatedly show her berating defendants, lawyers, and court personnel.  There were 337 allegations of violations of the code of judicial conduct.  So a disciplinary arm of the Ohio Supreme Court launched an investigation for possible discipline.

But as the investigation continued, so did the complaints. 100 more even after the judge was put on notice that her conduct was being investigated.
Many complaints like those of Wanda Leverette. “She has you come back if you don’t have legal representation.  My son had a traffic ticket, why do we need legal representation,” asks Leverette.
Now Judge Adrine has stripped all of her criminal cases after a request from the public defenders office that it would no longer represent defendants in her courtroom and be subjected to her temper.
