Article By Jamila Parker:: EEW MAGAZINE CHRISTIAN RAP FIX

Disappointing. This is the only word that can describe Reach Records rapper Andy Mineo’s comments on his brother in Christ Bizzle’s brilliant response to Macklemore’s gay-affirming anthem “Same Love.”

In a recent sit-down with NBC’s “The Grio,” rather than taking the opportunity to support a fellow Christian artist’s efforts to put forth a biblical perspective on homosexuality, Mineo criticized them. It’s a shame.

“I think addressing topics like that (homosexuality) on rap records might not be the best place,” said 25-year-old Mineo, who, like his mentor and CEO of his label, Lecrae, doesn’t like to be called “Christian rapper.”
