1. BOWE BERGDAHL RELEASE

Never-ending speculation:  As secretary of state, Hillary Clinton was skeptical about plans to trade five Guantanamo prisoners for Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, according to officials involved in the process.  Clinton pushed for a tougher deal than the one reached with Qatar, which secured the release of the U.S. soldier after five years.

2. MISSISSIPPI GOP PRIMARY

The waiting game: The Mississippi GOP senate primary is turning into one heck of a nail-biter.  The razor-thin margin between Sen. Thad Cochran and main challenger Chris McDaniel made it too close to call this morning. With 98% of precincts reporting, both candidates were short of the 50% needed to avoid a runoff, according to Associated Press numbers. And so we wait, and wait.

3. SEVERE WEATHER

Midwest takes a hit: Have you seen hail the size of a baseball? Well, neither have we. The same can’t be said of folks in Nebraska, though. Severe thunderstorms swept through the state yesterday, pelting certain areas with massive hail.  At one point, a storm churning through the state was over 10 miles tall, CNN meteorologist Chad Myers said. “If you’re in Nebraska, Iowa, or Missouri, this is going to be a very long night,” he said.
