*The 2014 BET Awards delivered a wild ride of exhilarating performances, side-splitting comedy and countless fashion do’s and don’ts.

Hosted by veteran funny man Chris Rock, the evening began with live music from mega-producer and “Happy”  creater Pharrell Williams.

Keeping the crowd in stitches between award presentations and live performances, Rock provided endless laughs and quick-witted commentary from start to finish. He even poked fun at Rick Ross for coming out with his own line of headphones, calling them “Dia-beats” in connection with Dr. Dre’s multibillion dollar business deal with apple.  In fact, if you scroll down, you can see Rock’s opening monologue.

Despite his ongoing legal woes, Chris Brown reminded viewers why he was once dubbed the second coming of pop icon Michael Jackson. To the sound of his new smash hit “Loyal,” the dynamic singer ripped the stage with dizzying coreography and was joined by renowned drummer Travis Barker.

The rest of the show featured a multitude of celebrity apearances, including performances by Trey Songz, Jennifer Hudson, Usher, John Legend, Nicki Minaj, Robin Thicke, Tyrese, Iggy Azalea, Jhene Aiko and more.
