A 12 inch water main break caused flooding at Quay 55, a luxury apartment building on North Marginal near East 55th Street in Cleveland around 10:15 p.m. Thursday.

A release from the Cleveland Water Department said that Quay 55 was the only building affected and that the water to the building will be shut off while they repair the main. There was no estimate on when the water main would be fixed or when water would be restored to the building.

The outside parking lot and the inside parking lots were both flooded along with some of the first floor of the building.

The break appeared to have occurred near a fire hydrant at the entrance to the building and water flowed into the parking lots and building.

As of 3 a.m. crews were working to shut the water off but it was flowing, still flooding the area.
