Those planning to rock out and into the music industry may just want to check out Cuyahoga Community College, where students are are training for a future in music everyday.

The Recording Arts and Technology program leads to an Associate of Applied Science degree and trains students for entry level positions within the highly competitive audio industry.

The program’s curriculum models the student’s educational experience around real-life projects with real-life expectations.

Within the two-year program, students have the opportunity to use a $35 million, 75,000 square-foot studio full of the latest technology to train in music recording and mixing, location sound, commercial production, television audio and video, internet audio, record production and more.

Classes are taught by industry veterans with eclectic backgrounds, including the Operating Manager at Jacob’s Pavilion and Sound mixer for Discovery Channel’s “Shark Week”.
