“Preachers of LA” star Deitrick Haddon has upset members of the faith community by saying on national television that co-habitation before marriage is okay.

During an Oxygen special last week, the 41-year-old argued that there are “different reasons” he deems acceptable for shacking up. But EEW Magazine’s President Dianna Hobbs weighed in, calling it “bad advice.”

During a network special that aired last week, ahead of the Season 2 premiere of the controversial reality show, the “Have Your Way” singer passionately fought for his perspective.

“Living with somebody does not mean that you’re having sex with them,” said Haddon, who also condemns fornication. “There are people that live together for various—many different—reasons.”

According to him, this is perfectly fine as long as the pair is not sexually active.

When asked to offer an opinion at a weekend event in upstate New York, Hobbs, who is an award-winning urban faith-based media specialist and bestselling author of The New A-list: Abstinence Makes the Heart Grow Fonder, said, “Oh wow, uh, Deitrick’s a really gifted artist, but I don’t think I can go with him on this one.”
