The Cleveland Water Department is sending water to Toledo residents who can’t drink their own due to toxins in it.

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources sent a truck with four 1,000-gallon water tanks to Northeast Ohio to fill up at the Crown Water Filtration Plant in Westlake Sunday.

They’ll then head to Toledo. The Water Department had already sent its water buggy to Toledo Saturday night. It arrived about midnight.

Cleveland Water’s interim commissioner, Alex Margevicius, said Cleveland is ready to give Toledo as much water as it needs. He wasn’t sure if this would be the only trip or they tanks would be brought back for more.
