Flooding led to traffic changes in downtown Cleveland Wednesday night.

Police shut down the westbound Shoreway after multiple cars have stalled out in high water.

Additionally eastbound drivers on Interstate 90 were being forced to exit the interstate at East Ninth Street due to flooding near the Carnegie exit.

Water was as deep as a foot and a half in places Wednesday night, according to police.

They had no estimate how long the closure would last.

The area received an inch of rain in just one hour leading up to the closures.
