Every man is not impressed with the overtly sexual image artists like Nicki Minaj and Beyoncé put on display for the world to see. Reach Records rapper Lecrae Moore, 34, is one of them.

In a promotional interview for Anomaly, his iTunes Hip Hop chart-topping new release, the Christian emcee shares his distaste for it.

“You don’t have to advertise,” he told a XXL Magazine interviewer, making the point that a woman of class and intelligence doesn’t need to show all her goodies for attention—something he says he tells his own daughter.

The “Nuthin” rapper’s answer was in response to a question about his views on Nicki’s sexually explicit video “Anaconda” and the music industry’s overall emphasis on female entertainers looking “pretty” for approval.

“You think about a Ferrari. You never seen a Ferrari or a Lamborghini commercial because everybody who wants a Ferrari, they know where to get it,” explained Lecrae. “All the cheap cars have commercials. They have to advertise. You know what I mean?”

His example is based on trends of elite automakers that neither sponsor celebrities nor market their products to the general public.

“It’s the same situation with a young lady. You don’t have to advertise because a dude who knows where to find an expensive, classy woman, knows where to find them.”

He added, “You don’t have to show it off. You don’t have to advertise it. It’s no knock or disrespect.”
