Funeral arrangements have been announced for Call & Post Assoc. Publisher and Exec. Editor Connie Harper.

Services for the Cleveland journalism legend will be on Saturday, Nov. 1 atOlivet Institutional Baptist Church, a family spokesperson said. The wake will take place at 10 a.m. with funeral services to follow at 11 a.m. Arrangements are entrusted to E.F. Boyd & Son Funeral Home.

Rev. Dr. Jawanza Karriem Colvin, a senior pastor at Olivet who also eulogized political strategist Arnold Pinkney, will do the eulogy. Both Harper and Pinkney were active members of Olivet, one of the city’s most prestigious religious venues.

Harper, 81, of Cleveland, died Friday at a Dayton hospital after suffering a heart attack earlier in the week.
