Quicken Loans Arena will open its doors at 6 p.m., but tipoff isn’t scheduled until 8 p.m.
People lucky enough to score tickets to tonight’s game will receive free giveaways such as magnet schedules, light up batons and Cavs T-shirts.
Those in attendance will also be featured in a 360-degree photo that will be taken during player warm-ups.
The photo can later be viewed at cavs.com/fancam .
While the Cavs season opener is bound to attract celebrities from New York City to Los Angeles, there’s been much speculation and gossip about who will be in Cleveland tonight.
One confirmed celeb is Usher, as the eight-time Grammy Award winner will sing the National Anthem before the game.
The season opener will not just be the first time LeBron James, Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving take the floor together in the regular season, it’ll also be the first time the new jumbotron scoreboard is being used during a game.
Quicken Loan Arena officials say the scoreboard is the biggest arena jumbotron in the U.S. and it also features giant flaming sabers.
