Nurse not willing to stay put: Not long ago, Kaci Hickox was fighting Ebola in West Africa, doing what she could to treat those with the deadly disease. Now, she’s in the middle of a different fight – this time, in Maine. Maine health officials say they’re filing a court order requiring the nurse take a 21-day quarantine.  Hickox is challenging that and says she has no intention of staying put.


Unusual scale and size:  An “unusual” uptick in the size and scale of Russian aircraft flying throughout European airspace has raised alarm bells for NATO officials. Multiple groups of Russian military bomber and tanker aircraft, flying under the guise of military maneuvers, were detected and monitored over sections of the Baltic Sea, North Sea and Black Sea on Tuesday and Wednesday.


Frosty relationship: Barack Obama and Benjamin Netanyahu haven’t liked each other for years – they just aren’t bothering to hide it anymore.  Longtime observers of the U.S.-Israeli relationship struggle to remember when the personal chemistry between the leaders of the two countries was so bad. Even the Israeli prime minister has compared their relationship to that of a bickering “old couple.”
