The film remake of ‘Annie’ hits theaters Dec. 19 and BREATHEcast got the chance to sit down with creative executive of the film, Devon Franklin, to chat about the movie, the impact he is making in Hollywood as a Christian, and the example he and his wife actress Meagan Good are to others.

The remake of ‘Annie’ stars Jamie Foxx, Cameron Diaz, and Quvenzhané Wallis. Franklin says the diverse cast was meant to bring a classic family movie into this generation.

As the former Senior Vice President of Columbia TriStar Pictures, Franklin worked on a number of the studio’s most successful films, including ‘The Karate Kid’, ‘The Pursuit of Happyness’ and ‘Jumping the Broom’. Recently, he oversaw the faith based hit ‘Heaven is For Real’, produced on a modest $12 million budget, ‘Heaven is For Real’ outpaced all industry estimates and grossed more than $100 million worldwide at the box office.
