Teachings that say it is God’s will for everyone to be healthy and wealthy, better known as prosperity theology, has millions of advocates.
But GRAMMY® award-winning gospel artist Kirk Franklin, 45, isn’t one of them.
In a Feb. 25 blog post titled Thank You, he slammed the gospel of success and riches.
“If your theology can’t be preached in a third world country, where a Bentley and a Lear jet probably won’t come to the guy who walked four miles to church for prayer, then your theology is wrong,” he wrote.
