It has been more than four years since Grammy® award-winning pastor and recording artist Marvin Sapp lost his wife of 18 years to colon cancer.
In a March 1 Facebook post, in honor of what would have been MaLinda Sapp’s 48th birthday, the single dad shared simple and warm sentiments.
“Today I celebrate the life of a phenomenal woman,” he wrote.
He then simply added, “I miss you greatly, with the hashtag, “#RIH”—which means “Rest In Heaven.”
The late Mrs. Sapp was co-pastor of Lighthouse Full Life Center Church in Grand Rapids that the couple started together. In addition to her integral role in the local ministry, she managed her husband’s music career, helping usher him into enormous success.
