The family of 12-year-old Tamir Rice spoke out at a press conference Tuesday in response to the city pitting blame of the deadly November incident on Tamir.
The scheduled 11 a.m. start time was delayed nearly an hour until the conclusion of Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s speech to Congress in an effort to accommodate the media.
Tamir’s mother, Samaria Rice, only said a few words at the press conference.
“The city’s answer was very disrespectful to my son, Tamir. I have not yet received an apology from the police department or the city of Cleveland in regards to the killing of my son. And it hurts.”
