Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson covered the challenges that are being faced by the city during his 10th State of the City address at Public Auditorium.

Jackson talked about the ongoing need to improve police training and community policing in light of the Department of Justice investigation.

Jackson explained the need for working together as a group to accomplish all that will be needed to improve Cleveland Police “use of force issues.”

The mayor spoke about his record on improving the Cleveland Schools and told the audience of more than 1,000 people the attitude is better within the district.

Jackson outlined budget difficulties and explained how the city has lost some $60 million due to state funding cuts and the loss of other revenue sources.
