CINCINNATI — The college student who gained national attention by following her dream to play basketball despite a grim diagnosis of a brain tumor, will be remembered today.
A memorial service will be held for Lauren Hill who passed away on Friday. She was only 19 years old. The public visitation and memorial will be at Xavier University in Cincinnati.
The hour long service will start at 7 p.m. Lauren’s family will attend and several speakers are planned.
A private funeral service and burial will be held Wednesday.
According to her tribute page, “Lauren was diagnosed with DIPG on 11/20/13.”
