Psalm 91 is one of the scriptural passages providing comfort to R&B singer Fantasia Barrino as she mourns the loss of
her grandmother, a preacher, Apostle Addie Collins.
The American Idol alum, 30, shared the passage on Instagram days after admitting she’s “not taking it well.”
“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty
[Whose power no foe can withstand],” says the beautiful and popular first verse in the Amplified translation.
Barrino also shared verse 2, which says, “I will say of the Lord, He is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God; on Him I lean
and rely, and in Him I [confidently] trust!”
It is not surprising that Barrino is relying on the word of God to comfort her soul.
