Kyrie Irving’s best was just not good enough for the Cleveland Cavaliers in their Game 1 matchup with the Chicago Bulls in the Eastern Conference Semifinals at Quicken Loans Arena Monday night.

Despite a game-high 30 points from Irving, and another double-double from LeBron James, the Cavaliers could not overcome a hot-shooting Bulls team, and fell, 99-92, to Chicago.

Four of Chicago’s starters scored in double figures, led by 25 points from point guard Derrick Rose, and a double-double of 21 points and 10 rebounds from center Pau Gasol. Shooting guard Jimmy Butler added 20 points and six assists to go along with five rebounds and three steals, and small forward Mike Dunleavy added 13 points, all of which came in the first quarter.
