‘American Idol’ introduced the world to some of the biggest stars today, including Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson, and Jennifer Hudson and the same goes for the Christian music community. Mandisa, Danny Gokey, Colton Dixon and more can accredit the hit show for their start. See what some of them had to say upon hearing of its cancellation.
Mandisa took to Facebook with a throw back photo of herself and fellow season 5 contestants with president Bush. She wrote, “Earlier this week I got the news that next season of American Idol will be its last. Several articles mentioned that ratings had been slipping since the series high of 31 million in 2006 (season 5 representin’!) This article had a picture of my fellow finalists/tour mates with the president, and it brings back so many great memories!”
