National civil rights leader Rev. Al Sharpton will be in Cleveland Friday night to deliver the keynote address at a rally at Olivet Institutional Baptist Church.
Sharpton, the president of National Action Network, will outline a call to action surrounding criminal justice issues.
Friday’s rally comes on the heels of the “not guilty” verdict in the trial of Cleveland police officer Michael Brelo, as well as a report from the U.S. Department of Justice outlining the use of excessive force within the Cleveland Police Department.
The rally will be held at 7:30 p.m. at the church on Quincy Avenue.
