The Community Farmers’ Market at Cleveland Clinic opens Wednesday on the hospital’s main campus near University Circle. The market will run from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesdays through Oct. 14 on Crile Mall, a comfortable green space between East 100th and East 96th streets, just south of Euclid Avenue. Free parking is available for the first hour and the RTA Health Line runs nearby.
Additional fresh markets will begin June 10 at Cleveland Clinic health centers in Beachwood, Independence and Garfield Heights.
By supplying locally-grown produce and homemade breads and jams, farmers’ markets have become a welcome addition to northeast Ohio’s food and dining scene. Last year, more than 2,000 people visited Cleveland Clinic’s flagship market each week. Shoppers included employees, patients, visitors and residents of the surrounding neighborhoods.
