Kirk Franklin loves country singer turned pop star Taylor Swift so much, he openly professed it on Twitter Monday.
So, what has the 45-year-old multiple award-winning gospel composer unashamedly singing the praises of the 25-year-old “Shake It Off” singer?
Apparently, it was her bold stand against Apple, one of the most powerful corporations in the world, that put Franklin under Swift’s spell.
“I’m sorry but your boy LOVES @taylorswift13 she stood up to APPLE for all artists and won!” he tweeted, adding, “Amen.”
On Sunday morning Swift took to Tumblr to chide Apple for not paying artist royalties on test drives of its new streaming music service, set to officially launch on June 30.
“We don’t ask you for free iPhones,” she wrote. “Please don’t ask us to provide you with our music for no compensation.”
