Usually the event is held in Public Square, but because of construction, this year it is being held on Mall B.
Each year, the concert attracts about 80,000 people. Organizers believe this year will be no different and that every inch of the large grassy area on Mall B will be covered.
It ends with fireworks, but it begins with about 100 musicians. Since 1990, the Cleveland Orchestra has performed the free concert outside for everyone to see.
“It is a chance for all of us to come together to and celebrate Independence Day with one of the most terrific cultural institutions in our community,” said Cuyahoga Arts and Culture Executive Director Karen Gahl-Mills.
