The Cleveland Browns may not have a game on the schedule for another week, but they are fighting another battle that rears its ugly head in training camp every year, the battle of attrition against injuries.

And right now, the Browns are losing that battle as several of their key players, especially on the offensive side of the ball, missed Wednesday’s fully-padded practice in Berea.

Wide receivers Terrelle Pryor (hamstring) and Dwayne Bowe (hamstring), running backs Terrance West (calf), Luke Lundy (concussion) and Duke Johnson (hamstring), and tight end Malcolm Johnson (shoulder) were among those offensive players who were unable to participate in Wednesday’s practice, and defensively, the team was without the services of cornerback Robert Nelson (hamstring), as well as outside linebacker Barkevious Mingo (undisclosed).
