They are already published authors of a book titled “The Stories that Chose Us,” because their teacher, Ms. Sarah Marcus, saw the possible — and her students delivered.
It’s a class project compilation of essays from the inner city.
Real and raw, written by young minds molded in a resistance writing class.
They were empowered by mini but mighty influential mentor, Ms. Marcus.
Senior Frankie Peterson writes, “You gotta be you.. Stay true… Don’t do nothin’ that does not feel comfortable to you… Just like Ms. Marcus class… I swear that’s one of the best classes I ever did… It taught me to expand my mind in different ways.”
