Daddy misses his girl.
Kirk Franklin has finally seen his daughter Kennedy Elizabeth Franklin off to college and like any protective father would be, he’s sick about it.
“House is different without her…But I’m proud of her,” the GRAMMY® Award-winning songwriter and composer wrote on Twitter Sunday.
“Still I miss her,” he added, with the hashtag, “#daddysgirl.”
Kennedy, 18, is beginning her freshman year at Baylor University, where she was accepted in March. The private Christian college in Waco, Texas is ranked one of the best national colleges by U.S. News & World Report.
“The hardest goodbyes,” wrote the beloved daughter on Twitter, indicating that moving on campus and away from her family, and friends is tough on her too.
Earlier Sunday, Kirk tweeted, “Today I take my baby daughter to college,” and told his followers, “I’m dying inside.”
