 The casket holding the body of former Congressman Louis Stokes was taken to Cleveland City Hall early this morning where he will lie in state for the public to pay their respects from 7 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Congressman Louis Stokes, who died on August 18, will be remembered in Cleveland this week.

Stokes will lie in state Monday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. inside of the Cleveland City Hall Rotunda at 601 Lakeside Avenue. The viewing will be open to the public, anyone who plans to attend is asked to arrive by 4 p.m.

The casket holding his body arrived at City Hall around 5:30 a.m. Monday.
