Cleveland Police say that a 3-year-old boy has died following a drive-by shooting on Cleveland’s east side Tuesday evening.
Cleveland Police say that the 3-year-old boy was pronounced dead at MetroHealth Medical Center following surgery early Wedenesday morning.
A 24-year-old woman was also shot in the drive-by and her condition is still unknown.
Police investigated the scene on East 113th Street between Union Avenue and Regalia Avenue late Tuesday night. The shooting happened at about 7:10 p.m.
The 3-year-old boy was struck by a gunshot in the chest and the woman was struck by a gunshot to the thigh. .
Cleveland Police say that preliminary information reveals that the victims were passengers in a vehicle that was fired upon by occupants of another vehicle. The 24-year-old woman is not the child’s mother.
The male driver of the vehicle that both victims were in drove them to the Cleveland Clinic.
