This weekend, crews on behalf ofODOT will begin a project to repair the driving surface of the 1,536 foot-long bridge which carries I-480 eastbound over the Rocky River between Clague and Grayton roads. The two middle lanes are being resurfaced with a microsilica concrete mix which is more durable, reduces cracking, improves durability and increases strength.
Multiple lanes will close on I-480 eastbound between Clague and Grayton roads from 7 p.m. Friday thru 6 a.m. Monday. In addition, the Clague Road on-ramp to I-480 eastbound will also be closed.
Motorists should use Brookpark Road to Grayton Road as a detour. Motorists who use I-480 eastbound should allow extra travel time during this work and prepare for slow-downs. All work is weather dependent.
The same closures are expected to repeat during the following weekend Oct. 9-12.
Westbound lanes of I-480 will be unaffected by this work.
