The Cleveland Cavaliers have had just one practice in training camp, but they hit the ground running when the team took the court for their first workout at Cleveland Clinic Courts on Tuesday.

Although wanting to ease his players in physically, second-year Cavaliers coach David Blatt has already begun the install process on both ends of the court.

“We’re already putting in the offensive system, offensive plays and defensive principles, and it’s not only conditioning,” Blatt said following Tuesday’s practice. “It’s also getting the body ready for some pretty serious days. You don’t want to come out on the first day and try to drive guys into the ground. You want to have them for the rest of the week of tough practices, and that, together with putting in some of the basics, was the main goal.
