Homeless women demanded Cuyahoga County Council take action to find a solution to severe overcrowding and the Norma Herr Women’s Center.

The women explained their plight to council members during their Oct. 13 meeting, telling them how 30 to 60 women are forced to sleep on thin mattresses on the floor every night.

“Ramona”, left homeless after a home foreclosure, told the council they need to do something as soon as possible.

Homeless women, who didn’t wish to give their full names, explained what conditions are like inside the over occupied facility.
