Looking for something to do this weekend? Free events are being offered across Northeast Ohio for families, veterans and military members.
Family Reading Festival at New Towne Mall
New Towne Mall will host a family reading festival this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The first 500 children will receive a free backpack. Every child will receive a free book.
Door prizes, such as an iPad mini, Nexus tablet, LeapFrog and reading devices, will be given away.
Face painting, balloon twisting and other activities will also be offered.

Free Kids Workshops at Home Depot
Take your kids to your local Home Depot this Saturday to build a Veterans Day jet.
The free, hands-on workshop is designed for children ages 5 to 12.
The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
