An investigation is underway after two rangers and a suspect were injured in a shooting at the Justice Center on Tuesday night.

It happened at about 7:30 p.m., officials say.

Rangers were initially called to the area near East 55th Street Marina and found a suspect wanted on a felony warrant, according to Cleveland Metroparks Chief Daniel Veloski.

The suspect was taken into custody and brought to the Justice Center. That’s when that suspect shot a Cleveland Metroparks ranger who was wearing a bulletproof vest. A second ranger was also hurt.

Veloski said the two rangers were sent to MetroHealth Medical Center and are doing okay. The suspect, who was also shot, was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center. The suspect’s condition is not known at this time.

A Cleveland Metroparks vehicle was towed away from the scene.
