Erica Campbell has inspired countless people with her music as a member of “Mary Mary” and with her solo efforts, but now the gospel superstar is revealing one song that changed her own life.
Campbell, the 43-year-old “Help” singer, is revealing how veteran gospel artist Daryl Coley’s song “He’s Preparing Me,” influenced her career.
“This song single handedly pushed me into my destiny. He’s preparing me made me cry and set a fire in my soul that let me know NOTHING I went through was a waste of time,” Campbell revealed in anInstagram post recently. “Every appreciation service, afternoon or midnight musical, wedding or funeral or anniversary concert helped me in some way for what I now do!! Thank You Daryl Coley.”
According to Campbell, Coley’s song is an example of the power of gospel music.
