Good Riddance Day is inspired by a Latin American tradition in which New Year’s revelers stuffed dolls with objects representing bad memories before setting them on fire. The annual event will take place on December 28, 2015 in New York City’s Times Square. It is open to the public to destroy any unpleasant, embarrassing and downright forgettable memories from 2015 and pave the way for new memories in 2016.
