Many in the crowd of older voters said they are strongly behind Hillary Clinton’s campaign.
“I believe she supports ideas best for me and my community, health care, equal pay for women and jobs for our youth,” said W. Dean Hudson.
Hudson added, “I’m hoping Donald Trump gets nominated by Republicans. I believe she will pulverize him.”
“She’s an experienced politician, and she knows government, ” said Veronica Anthony.
Edith Reed is a big fan of Bill Clinton. “I believe she’s learned a lot about government and politics (from him), ” she said.
The looming battle over filling the Supreme Court seat left vacant by the death of Justice Antonin Scalia was mentioned by several speakers as an new important issue making the election even more important.
