Parts of northern Ohio are store in for a wintry blast through Thursday evening.

The National Weather Service has issued a WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY for Cuyahoga, Lake, Geauga and Ashtabula County through 7 p.m. Thursday evening.

Here’s the latest update according to NWS…

Rain will change to snow early this morning as colder air behind a departing storm system moves over the forecast area. Northwest winds will gust to between 30 and 35 mph.

* Accumulations… 1 to 4 inches generally, 4 to 6 inches of snow east.

* Timing…Rain will change over to snow after midnight. Snow showers will continue through the day on Thursday.

* Impacts…Snow covered roads and walkways. Reduced visibility. The snow will be wet and heavy.

* Winds…West 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

* Temperatures…In the lower 30s…Falling to the upper 20s by Thursday evening.
