The investigation into Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel has been completed by Dallas detectives and has been turned over to a supervisor for review, where it is expected that a decision regarding criminal charges will be announced later today, according to NBC5’s Jeff Smith in Dallas-Fort Worth.
The investigation stemmed from an incident with Manziel’s former girlfriend, Colleen Crowley, on January 30.
Crowley applied for and was granted an order of protection against the second-year quarterback after detailing the alleged assault in an affidavit in court seeking the order from a judge in Texas.
