Five students at Mansfield Senior High School are being held responsible for damaging the Foucault pendulum at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History while on a field trip last week.

Mansfield Senior High School Principal Jose Hernandez said Tuesday that 90 students traveled to the museum on a field trip on March 16, and five of those students chose not to follow the rules.

Glenda Bogar, the museum’s director of communications, said students were swinging the pendulum, located in the museum’s main lobby and surrounded by a railing.
